Today when we left the dock we headed down south of chatman river to fish for pompano . The. First spot we stopped at was a grass flat where we have been catching a lot of nice pompano,’ the bait we have been using and working the best has been a 1 inch tube jig that pompano can’t resist . On our first drift we scored with several nice pompano that where in the 2-5 lb range. Also mixed in with the pompano where some nice size trout and Mackerel that provided us with some great action. The winter fishing in the Everglades this year has been better than ever and if the warm weather continues the fishing should remain great
