What a great month for fishing in The Everglades November was – With the air and water temperature dropping a few degree’s the fishing was excellent . The Redfish did not let us down this month we had many days were we found schools of Redfish that where hungry and on the bite. The bait we had our best luck on where live pilchards and fresh cut ladyfish . Most of the Redfish we caught were in the 2 – 10 lb range . Mixed in with the Redfish where a few nice size Snook, but the best Snook action was in the rivers and backcountry where the water was warmer. The Trout fishing this month had also been on fire, we having been catching nice size Trout on the grass flat and in the deeper cuts along the mangrove island .The bait we been having the best luck on have been a root beer jig bounced slowly along the bottom . The Pompano fishing has been picking up this month , we been having some great luck catching some nice size Pompano on the grass flats using 3/8 oz tube jig. The Mackerel have also providing us with some good action this month , Mackerel are great fish to catch they can provide you some fast and furious action. Overall November fishing has been great and with the live bait still around the fishing should remain excellent.
December Fishing Charter Outlook for Everglades National Park
December fishing should remain good just like November with the cooler air and water temperatures look for the Snook to move deeper into the backcountry where the water will be a lot warmer . Since Redfish are not affected by the cooler water temperatures the Redfish this time of year will still be hanging around the outside points and islands . This time of year is one of the best time for catching Trout and like November The Trout will be all over the grass flats and in the deep passes . Trout can provide some non stop action and make for great fish dinner. Pompano fishing this time of year can be red hot ,Pompano love to hang on the grass flats where they like to feed on small sand fleas . Pompano pound for pound are one of the best fighting fish and like Trout provide for some great eating .

June’s fishing was very good we had some great and fast action . With the weather temperatures being hot we were leaving the dock at daylight to beat the heat and afternoon thunder storms . The Tarpon fishing was on fire a first light in the morning. The Tarpon we have been catching have been in the in 20 to 50 lb range the baits that we have been working the best have been a red and white lucky 13 which has slow sinking action . The Snook fishing has also been excellent this month with the big Snook moving into the passes and rivers to spawn The Snook fishing was on fire. We had several day were we caught Snook the were in the 12 to 20 lb range .The bait that worked the best were live big threadfins and fresh cut ladyfish Redfishg has remained steady this month most of the Reds we have been catching have been along the beaches and oysters bars A slow jig tip with a shrimp or a live shrimp under a popping cork has been working the best most if the Reds we have been catching have been anywhere between 18 and 24 inches with a few bigger one’s mixed in. The Trout fishing has also been good with the best fishing being in the morning before the temperatures heat up .Most of the Trout we have been catching have been over the grass flats in 3 -5 ft of water the bait we been having our best luck with have been a live pinfish under a popping cork or a jig bounced slowly on the bottom .
July weather is very hot and so is the fishing like June we like to get an early start to beat the heat and the afternoon thunderstorms . Snook fishing should remain good Snook love the warm water temperatures and with the pilchards starting to thin out this time or year the bait we like to use are live finger Mullet . Snook in July can average all different sizes but the bigger ones will be hanging around the mouth the rivers on the falling tides . Redfish will also be on the bite in July .Redfish this time of year like to school up along the outside points and beaches .With shrimp being small this time of year we like to use a fresh cut ladyfish for bait. Another and fun fish we like to fish for this month are Sharks .With the water temperatures reaching the high 80’s the Sharks can provide a lot of great action . Most the sharks we catch will average anywhere from 100 -175 lbs . The bait that’s works the best and we like to use is a live Ladyfish under a balloon. Even no the weather in July can be super hot July fishing can provide fast and great action If you would like to book a trip please give me a call and let me get you in to some great fishing action

This winter in Everglades National Parks will go down as one of the warmest in history , and with the weather being hot the fishing has been fantastic. The Snook fishing has been providing us some great action deep in the backcountry, with Snook averaging anywhere from 5 -10 lbs. For the most part, the bait we have been having the best luck on has been live pilchards, which have been available early this year do to the warm weather.
Trout and Pompano fishing has also been on fire, with the best luck on the rising tides over the grass flats in 3-5 ft of water. A lot of the Trout we been catching have as big as 5 lbs with a few averaging over 6lbs. The pompano have been mixed in with the Trout and been in the 3-5 lb range . Redfishing remains steady… On yesterday’s charter, the first spot we hit gave us 19 Reds. Over all this month has provided some of the best winter fishing I have ever seen.
Fishing Charter Outlook:
March is the turn around month for us down here in the Everglades The Tarpon should start showing little by little and be on the bite. A live ladyfish under a float seems to work the best this time of year. Our tarpon here in the Everglades can average anywhere from 75 to 150 lbs. The Snook should start moving out from the backcountry and into the mouth of the rivers and along the island that blanket the coastline. Live pilchards and pinfish seem to work the best this time of year. Trout and Pompano fishing should remain red hot right on though the spring, along with continued Redfish action.
