January Fishing Report

image

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas  and a Happy New Year!  The first few days of January have provided us with some great action! The redfishing has been great. On the high tides, along the beaches, we have been finding schools of redfish that have been averaging 2-8 lbs. The bait that has been working the best, has been a riptide shrimp jig. The trout and pompano fishing has also be good. With the water being clear, we have been scoring with some nice sized trout and pompano, on the grass flats south of Everglades City .  The mackeral fishing has also be providing us with some great action! Most of the mackeral we have been catching, have been about a mile offshore and  have been averaging in the 5 lb range . The weather this January has been warmer than normal, making for the fish to be on the bite! Don’t  miss out on some great fishing! Give me a call, and let me get you out on the water for a day of fishing!

Thanks
