The weather in the Everglades is finally warming up. Today,we decided to head to a near by sandbar where pompano like  to hang out this time of year . After we arrived to the spot, we anchored up the boat. Within minutes of casting out a rootbeer riptide jig, we were hooked up with a pompano, that was in the 3-4 lb range. After catching several beautiful pompano, we decided to head to a nearby redfish spot, where we scored with several nice redfish up to 10 lbs . After a great day of fishing, we decided to head back to my dock. The Oyster House restaurant cooked the pompano we caught for tonight‘s dinner . Don’t miss out on some  great fishing!
