The first major cold font was moving though the Everglades this week, causing the water temperature to drop down into the mid 60s. Today we decided to head deep into the backcountry to fish . The first spot we stopped at was a deep creek, with a rock and oyster bottom, where the fish like to hang out when the water gets cold . After anchoring up and casting out a riptide jig tip with a shrimp, we caught a nice redfish that tipped the scales at 7 lbs . After catching a mess of redfish, we move to another spot where we scored with several nice trout , mangrove snapper, and Goliath grouper . Next week the weather forecast is showing warmer temperatures. If you want to get out on the water, and get into some great action, give me a call!
Thanks for visiting my website and I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!
