When we left my dock today, the weather was hot, and there was no wind. We decided to head to a nearby grass flat, to catch some trout and pompano  for dinner tonight .When we arrived at the first spot, the tide was rising over the grass flat . The bait we were using today was a riptide jig, which works great this time of year. After a few minutes into our first drift, the trout started to bite! We scored with several nice trout  up to 5 lbs . After catching our fill of trout, we decided to fish for sharks. We headed to a spot where the sharks hang out  at. After casting out a live ladyfish,  we were hooked up with a nice hammerhead in no time! The shark gave us a great fight! June is one of the best months for fishing in the Everglades.
