With september in full swing this weeks fishing have been filled with a lot of great redfish action . When we left my dock this morning we decided to fish for redfish and trout and the bait we where going to be using was a root beer riptide jig that works great for catching redfish , snook and trout . With the tide dead low and rising we anchored up on an outside point where redfish like to hang out , and after several  minutes of steady casting we scored with a nice redfish that was in the 7 lb range . As the morning went on we had steady redfish action catching and releasing over 18 nice redfish . When the redfish action died we headed to a nearby grass flat and caught serval nice trout with a few pompano mixed in .
