Warm Weather Bring In The Tarpon

With the water temperatures hitting the 80s today and the rumors a few tarpon around we decided to run way down south and hit a few tarpon spots . As we moved into my first spot we saw several nice tarpon rolling around so we decided to cast a slow sinking plug , and after a 1/2 hour of casting we had our fish hooked up that gave us a great  45 minute fight . After we boated and released the tarpon that was in the 80 lb range we decided to catch a few trout for the dinner table so we hit a near by grass flat where we caught some nice size trout that where in the 2-5 lb range. This year with February being warmer then normal made for some great fishing action
Give me a call and let me get you into some great fishing action

Fishing And Weather Still Remain Red hot

When we left my dock in the Everglades we decided to fish for redfish so we headed south down near Lostmans river . The first spot we stop at was an oyster bar that was in about 3 ft of water . After several minute of casting a root beer shrimp jig we scored with a nice redfish after catching several more redfish we moved up the river and caught some nice size snook . With all the warm weather we been having the snook fishing has been better then normal for this time of year.

Cold Front Moves Fish Into The Deep

With the biggest cold front of the year moving through the everglades this week the fish moved into the deep holes of the river and passes . When we left my dock this morning headed south to fish the Chatham river that is deep and has a lot good hard bottom . The bait we where using was a riptide jig tip with a fresh peace that we bounced slowly along the bottom . After several minutes of casting we had or first fish in the boat that was a trout that tip the scale at 4 lbs as the day went on we scored with a good mix of fish including redfish , sheepshead snapper and black drum . The weather forecast for the rest of the week is for warm temperatures and light wind that should make for some great fishing action .
Thanks for checking out my web site and I only have couple days open for the rest of February so if you want to get into some great fishing give me a call

After about 20 minutes of casting we scored with a nice 10 lb Snook that gave us a great fight . As the day went on we caught several more nice size Snook with a few few nice Red fish mixed in .
