Today’s Fishing Report

image

With the wind blowing out of the northeast today we decided to head south and fish the deep creeks for redfish . The bait we where going to be using today was a riptide rootbeer jig tip with a fresh piece of shrimp that works great for redfish this time of year. When we arrived  at the first spot the tide was perfect and within 5 minutes of out first cast the redfish started to bite , we caught 15 redfish that where in the 5-10 lb range . After the redfish bite slowed up we headed to a nearby grass flat and caught a nice mix of trout and pompano. This year fishing in the Everglades has been great and 2014 should be just as good or even  better , so if you would like to book a trip for the new year give me a call and let me set you up on your fishing adventure

Everglades Fishing Report

image

Fishing this week in the Everglades was good providing us with some great action . The trout fishing was red hot over the grass flats in 3-5 ft of water  . The bait we have been having our best luck on has been a root beer colored riptide jig . Most of the trout we have been catching have been in the 2-3 lb range with a few bigger ones mixed in. The redfishing has also been good the week , we have been having our best luck on the rising tides along the mangrove islands . Most of the redfish we have been catching have been in the 4- 10 lb range . The snook fishing has also been steady and with the water temperatures cooling down we have been fishing for snook deep into the backcountry  where the water has been  warmer .  With Decembers weather warmer then normal the fishing in the Everglades has been good , so don’t miss out on some great fishing give me a call and let’s get out on the water and catch some fish

Today’s Everglades Fishing Report

Today, fishing in the Everglades was filled with a lot of great action ! When we left my dock today, we started  to head south to the grass flats near Lostmans river, to fish for trout and pompano . The bait we used today for the trout were live pilchards under a popping cork, and for the pompano we used a I inch tube jig. After several minutes into our first drift, we scored, with a trout that was in the 5 lb range! As the morning went on, we caught  a number of good size trout, with some nice sized pompano mixed in . After the trout fishing slowed up, we decided to stop by a redfish hole.  We were able to catch several nice redfish up to 10 lbs . Don’t miss out on some great fishing! Give me a call, and let me get you out on the water for a day of great fishing!

The Fish Are On The Bite

image

Fishing in the Everglades has been great this week, providing us with some non stop action. The redfish have been very active this week in the early morning on the rising tides.  The bait that we have been having our best luck on has been a fresh cut piece of lady fish that redfish can’t resist. Most of the redfish we have catching, have been in the 5 to 10 lb range. In addition to the redfish, we have been catching some nice sized snook.  As long as the weather remains warm, the snook fishing will be good. The trout fishing this week has also been red hot. With the water over the grass flats being clear, the trout have been hungry.  The bait that has been working the best have been live pilchards under a popping cork. Trout are a lot of fun to catch, and are also  a great fish to eat. The  fishing this month has been providing us with some great action!  Don’t miss out! Give me a call and let’s get out on the water, and catch some fish!

Today’s Everglades Fishing Report

When we left my dock in Everglades City today, the wind was blowing hard from the northeast. Because of this we decided to cast net some live pilchards and fish a protected area away from the wind, in hopes to catch redfish and snook. When we arrived at the first spot, the tide was rising, and within minutes of casting out a live bait, we where hooked up with a beautiful redfish in the 8 lb range. We knew that this nice sized fish would be going on the grill  for tonights dinner . After catching several more redfish, we decided to fish for a few snook. We headed up to the Lopez River, where, we caught and released a good number of nice sized snook . When the snook bite started to slow up, we decided to call it a day.  We headed back to my dock to clean the fish we caught .  It was another great day of fishing in The Everglades. Don’t miss out on some great November fishing trips! Give me a call and let me get you into some great action!
