Everglades Fishing Boats

I have been an Everglades guide fishing in the Everglades for the past 30 years and have had the pleasure of fishing out of many Everglades style boats. I use a Maverick 17 ft. Master Angler that works prefect for getting around the shallow water of the Everglades. My Everglades Maverick seats 2 people very comfortably and has plenty of room when you are casting for the Everglades snook, redfish, trout and the mighty Everglades tarpon. My Everglades Maverick is a great shallow water running boat it can run in 10 to 12 inches of water over the Everglades soft bottom and be poled in 8 to 10 inches when you are stalking the Everglades redfish or the Everglades sneaky snook. The dry storage on the Everglades Maverick boat is second to none. You have plenty of room for personal gear and all your life saving equipment. The Everglades Maverick boat is also a great boat to fish the inshore Everglades wrecks that hold plenty of Everglades’s cobia, snapper and mackerel. I know that several other everglades fishing guides and myself are happy on the way these Everglades skiffs perform in these shallow Everglades waters. Some Everglades fishing guides will have a second boat. A favorite one of many of the Everglades fishing guides is a 16 ft aluminum Jon boat. These boats can be easily customized to fit your Everglades shallow water needs. These boats can be poled into the shallowest of waters when chasing down an Everglades snook or redfish. The perfect engine size for an Everglades Jon boat is between a 25 to 40 hp outboard motor, another very popular boat for many Everglades fishing guides is the 22 ft Pathfinder boat made by the Maverick boat company. These boats are becoming more and more popular everyday on these Everglades waters. With the extra room found in these boats, many of the Everglades fishing guides can accommodate 2 to 4 clients with great comfort. The Everglades Pathfinder is a great all around boat. These boats can travel a good distance offshore of the Everglades and also can be fished in the shallow water of the Everglades. The Everglades Pathfinder has a great live well system for holding many types of baits that swim in these Everglades like pilchards, thread, herring, mullet and shrimp. When buying a boat for these Everglades waters you can talk to the manufacturer or an Everglades fishing guide and they can give important information when they start to built your Everglades shallow water skiff.
