Today, when we left my dock out of Everglades City, the tide was super low. Because of the low tide, we decided to fish the the passes where the water is deeper, and the fish like to hang out .  When we arrived at the first spot, the redfish were there, and within minutes of casting out a riptide jig, we had a bite. We scored big with several nice redfish up to 10 lbs . Later on in the morning, when the tide started to rise, we headed out to the grass flats. Once at the grass flats, we were able to catch a nice mix of pompano , trout and mackerel. Don’t miss out on some great fishing this new year!
